Alder is only 20 feet to the lake shore with big slide-by windows over looking Teal Lake and it’s wilderness islands. (With all windows open, the front room feels like a huge screened porch.) Listen to the lapping waves and the cry of the loons from the 2-person outdoor swing. Fish or just relax on the dock just outside the front door. Great location for everyone: kids, dogs, and adults. Flat entry from car to door, then just 2 steps into cabin, friendly on bad knees. Dock access is down a gentle slope.

Our largest one bedroom log cabin, with the original logs in the bedroom, this has a lakeside addition that includes a good sized kitchen, a dining table for six, and a living room with fireplace with a 2nd sleeping area in the corner with two twin day beds. The big bedroom has a king sized bed and two additional twin beds while still having room for a crib if needed. The bedroom provides a cool darker atmosphere for afternoon naps (for young and old). There is one tub/shower bathroom off the hallway, with new pine paneling. This is an ideal cabin for families or a group wishing to economize (with comfort but sacrificing some privacy!)

Guest home Size: 956 sq feet.

Seasonal Rental: Alder is available for rental Mid- May through Mid October. It is not available in winter. It does have furnace heat so comfortable even on the cooler days of Autumn.
